Mobilisations in Greece for Palestine
The peoples will not remain indifferent in the face of genocide – In the struggle for a free Palestine from the river to the sea!
Thousands of people and youth demonstrated once again on Wednesday 4/06 in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in support of their heroic resistance against the murderous state of Israel. The intense police presence that tried to limit the gathering, did not succeed in preventing the march of the blocks and the holding of a demonstration in the center of Athens, with slogans against Zionism and US-EU imperialism, the dependence and participation of the country in the war massacres, the two-state solution.
The attempt to terrorize and silence those who speak for Palestine, did not succeed in locking the people of the country in their homes, since they have demonstrated en masse three times in the last two weeks. The Nakba anniversary and the starvation of the Palestinian people by Israel’s blockades of humanitarian aid, triggered the mobilisation in an antiwar-antiimperialist direction that we so desperately need, in a period of preparation for a generalised and comprehensive war conflict.
This is the direction that the CPG(m-l) seeks to strengthen through the International Campaign of Parties and Organizations, in the face of the merciless arms race and in view of the NATO Summit. In this context, the screening of the political documentary entitled « 48 – Resistance to the Great Settlement », about the multifaceted struggle of the Palestinian people in the West Bank, was successfully held on 5/06 at the Panteion University in Athens. A recitation of poems by Palestinian poets was preceded.
The war horror and the massacre currently taking place in Palestine never ceases to outrage us. We will not stop fighting for the justice of the peoples and to call for a UNIFIED-INDEPENDENT PALESTINIAN STATE FROM THE JORDAN RIVER TO THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA AND FREEDOM TO PALESTINE!
